HARTSVILLE, SC (September 8, 2021) - While the Coker University Track & Field Team was preparing for day two of the South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Hickory, SC, a woman in the team hotel has a medical emergency that had her on the verge of losing her life.
Coker University sophomore Jerimil German, a member of the team, sprang to action, assessed the situation, and began performing chest compressions on the woman. While waiting for EMTs to arrive, German resuscitated the woman several times over the course of 20 minutes. The Coker Cobra ended up saving her life.
