Coker University is welcoming 390 new students to campus this fall, each bringing unique experiences, ambitions, and perspectives to our community. This incoming class includes 267 first-time freshmen, 117 transfer students, and 55 online learners who will join the Coker family from around the world.

Students represent 24 states and 19 countries, creating a campus rich with cultural diversity and fresh ideas. A majority, 58 percent, come from right here in South Carolina. This year’s class also includes a proud group of legacy students, with 5 percent following in the footsteps of family members who attended Coker.

The University will also welcome 386 high school students to a Coker education through Dual Enrollment programming. These classes will be held in-person, online, and some at high school host sites, allowing students to gain the benefits of Coker without leaving their high school campuses. The University’s Dual Enrollment Program continues to see significant growth through new programming with Butler Academy and continued successful programming with the Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics.

Pre-nursing is the most popular major among the incoming class, reflecting a growing interest in careers that make a difference in the health and wellness of others. Exercise science follows closely, attracting students passionate about human performance and movement. Rounding out the top three is business with a concentration in sports administration, a program that blends leadership skills with the excitement of the sports industry.

Coker’s newest Cobras are united by curiosity, ambition, and a shared commitment to learning in a close-knit, supportive environment. Whether they are stepping onto campus for the first time or connecting online from across the globe, they are ready to explore new opportunities, form lifelong connections, and contribute to the university’s proud tradition of excellence.

Welcome to Coker, Class of 2029!
