The College of Health Professions proudly hosted its annual White Coat Ceremony on Thursday, November 7, at the Elizabeth Boatwright Coker Performing Arts Center. This time-honored tradition welcomed 81 of the 116 eligible students into the next stage of their nursing education.

The White Coat Ceremony symbolizes a significant milestone in a nursing student’s journey, marking their official entry into clinical practice. By donning the iconic white coat, students pledge to uphold the highest standards of integrity, respect, and compassionate patient care. During the ceremony, students took a solemn oath to dedicate themselves to safe, ethical, and empathetic nursing practices.

"The White Coat Ceremony is more than just a ritual; it’s a profound moment of commitment to the values that define healthcare," said President Dr. Harder. "These students are the future of nursing, and we are proud to see them embrace this responsibility with such passion and purpose."

Students, faculty, staff, and proud family members attended the ceremony, united in celebrating this meaningful step toward becoming skilled and compassionate registered nurses.
