Coker University is proud to host Giordano Dance Chicago on January 25, 2024, for a night of jazz, dance and entertainment for the whole family. The event will take place in Coker’s Watson Theater at 7:30 p.m.
Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC) is currently celebrating 61 years as America’s Premiere Jazz Company. Founded in 1963 by Gus Giordano, the company has earned itself a place as a Chicago-based world-class dance company.
Be the first to see Emmy-Award-winning and So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Al Blackstone’s world premiere extravaganza. Also, witness commercial choreographer Mia Michaels’ “Le Grand Futur is Here!” and Ray Leeper’s “SOUL.”
This show is filled with athleticism, power, sensuality and more. Don’t miss it!
“(This) is such a fabulous opportunity for the students to learn from them and see the company perform,” Dean of the School of Visual and Performing Arts Angela Gallo said. “We are thrilled to be able to bring such high-caliber performing arts groups to Hartsville as part of our Heart the Arts in Hartsville event season. We know that audiences will just love the exhilarating, high-energy performance of Giordano Dance Chicago!”
