On Saturday, May 6, 2023, Coker University will recognize the graduating class of 2023. Both bachelor's and master's degrees will be awarded during the ceremony starting at 10 a.m.

Lou Warner, ‘95, will give this year’s commencement address. Warner is the founder of Warner’s Athletic Construction Company in Nashville, Tennessee - providing a variety of turf maintenance and construction services throughout the region. Warner is a 2010 inductee to the Coker Athletics Hall of Fame and a Coker University Board of Trustees member. 

The University will also honor Garret Bakhsh, a Coker student who tragically passed away in 2020, with his degree posthumously. During the ceremony, Garret’s regalia will sit in an empty chair among the other graduates, and his mother, Natalie, will be on hand to receive his diploma. 

Coker University’s Commencement ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Harris E. & Louise H. DeLoach Center gymnasium. The event will also stream live on the University website.
