HARTSVILLE, SC (July 16, 2021) — Coker University recently appointed Daniel Buryj as Vice President of Administration and Finance.
As Vice President, Buryj will be responsible for fiscal planning, budget development and control, accounting, purchasing, inventory, information technology, human resources, payroll, facilities management, environmental safety, contract administration, and risk management.
“Strong administrative and financial leadership is essential for Coker University to successfully implement its new five-year strategic plan,” says Coker University President Natalie J. Harder. “Dan Buryj brings the knowledge and experience Coker needs to help us achieve our goals and meet the needs of our students, faculty and staff, alumni, and the community at large,” Dr. Harder added.
For the past five years, Buryj has served as the chief financial officer for The Arc Gateway in Pensacola, FL. He previously served as the director of operations for A Reason to Survive (ARTS) in California, as deputy director of the Lux Art Institute, finance director for New Directions for Women, executive director of Friends of County Animal Shelters, and finance director for Volunteer San Diego. He began his career working for Broadcom Corporation and the Charles River Public Internet Center.
Buryj received his Masters of Nonprofit Management from Regis University and his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Social Change from Bentley University in Massachusetts.
