    HARTSVILLE, S.C. — Coker University is pleased to announce Braden Shain as its new Vice President of Advancement. With more than a decade of experience in higher education fundraising and a proven track record of fostering donor relationships and exceeding contribution goals, Shain brings dynamic leadership and an inspiring vision to this vital role.shain_braden 11.14.24-2

    Shain joins Coker from the University of South Carolina, where he most recently served as the Chief Development Officer for the College of Information and Communications. He also served as the Chief Development Officer for the School of Law at USC and held leadership roles at the University of Illinois.

    In his new role at Coker, Shain will be dedicated to cultivating a vibrant culture of giving among alumni, parents, and friends of the University. He aims to expand the University’s donor base, enhance fundraising strategies, and ensure contributions make a lasting impact on students, faculty, and programs.

    Shain holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University. He will officially join the University on January 6, 2025.
