    Coker University is thrilled to announce that four of its innovative student teams have advanced to the semifinals of the prestigious 5th Annual ‘SC Innovates’ Statewide Student Pitch Competition. Coker's impressive showing, with the second-highest number of semifinalists across the nine participating universities, highlights its students' entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.

    The semifinalist teams representing Coker University are:

    • Alga Core: Jacky Hong (Entrepreneurship & Innovation) and Andy Huynh (Accounting) – A cutting-edge venture focused on harnessing the power of algae for sustainable innovations.
    • Sparkling Exteriors: Cheyenne Palmer (Exercise Science) – A creative approach to exterior cleaning that combines environmental sustainability with efficient service.
    • Sweatlink: Rhyan Parkin (Sports Administration) – A sports-tech startup aimed at enhancing athlete performance and engagement through wearable technology.
    • The Adventure Academy: Angerrelle Gomes (Accounting) – A bold educational initiative designed to inspire and educate young adventurers through hands-on learning experiences.
