Coker University’s Office of Advancement recently announced the appointments of Amy Morris as the new Director of the Annual Fund and Jennifer Rhodes as the new Director of Alumni Engagement. Both appointments reflect the university’s commitment to fostering leadership and excellence within its community.
Amy Morris, Director of the Annual Fund
Effective May 13, 2024, Amy Morris has assumed the role of Director of the Annual Fund. Amy's unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity, and outcomes in her previous role within the Alumni Office has positioned her to excel in this pivotal role.
Amy will be instrumental in supporting Coker's financial sustainability and growth in her new capacity. She will strategically manage the annual giving program, leveraging her expertise to ensure continued success. Amy’s exceptional skills were recently showcased in her management of the live activity surrounding the highly successful Strike as One campaign, demonstrating her capability to drive significant fundraising efforts.
As Director of the Annual Fund, Amy will remain within the Institutional Advancement Office, where she will continue cultivating relationships, engaging donors, and raising funds to support various university initiatives. Her dedication and proven track record make her an ideal leader to spearhead these critical efforts.

Jennifer Rhodes, Director of Alumni Engagement
Effective July 8, 2024, Jennifer Rhodes will begin as the new Director of Alumni Engagement. Jennifer, a Coker graduate, has served in Academic Affairs since she began in October 2000. In 2005, Jennifer started as the Assistant to the Provost, and from 2015 to 2023, she added the responsibility of Coordinator of Disability Services.
As the Assistant to the Provost, Jennifer has served with excellence in all daily coordination of and support for special events and projects for which she has been responsible. Her 24 years of dedicated service have been integral to the work of Academic Affairs, showcasing her commitment to the university.
Jennifer's experience, integrity, dedication, and institutional knowledge demonstrate that she will excel in her new role. We are excited to have her become the Director of Alumni Engagement, where she will play a crucial role in fostering strong connections with our alumni community and enhancing their engagement with the University.
