HARTSVILLE, SC (July 29, 2021) -- Professor Rhonda Knight, Coker University’s John Wayne Lemke Chair in College Service and Leadership, recently led a workshop at the International Camp for Democratic Leadership (ICDL).

ICDL “seeks to promote democratic leadership by burning together a community of college-aged students, educators, and democratically-minded professionals into a workshop environment, in order to cultivate the behaviors, relationships, and organizational outlook necessary for promoting democratic leadership at all levels of society, from online communities to the highest levels of government.”

At the Institute, held earlier this month, Dr. Knight helped participants acquire a better appreciation for how the humanities can inform democratic leadership and governance and to identify democratic behaviors one wants to cultivate.

ICDL is hosted annually by Kallion, a non-profit organization committed to “elevating leadership through the humanities.”
