    Cobras Men's Soccer Makes History with Record Season and Sweet Sixteen Finish

    The Coker University Men’s Soccer team capped an unforgettable season with their first NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen appearance since joining the South Atlantic Conference. Highlights included a 13-game winning streak, 51 goals (a program record), and being named South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Regular Season Co-Champions.

    Junior Frederic Benedix broke the single-season assist record with 16, while standout Matty Tricker earned SAC Defensive Player of the Year honors. The Cobras achieved their highest-ever national ranking (No. 4). 

    The team also excelled academically, with six players named to the Academic All-District Team and Nikola Sotra earning the SAC Elite 23 award.

    Led by head coach Michael Antoniewicz, associate head coach Matt Dunn, goalkeeper coach Tony Vu, and graduate assistant Connor McAlister, the Cobras had one of their greatest seasons in program history. The staff were named Southeast Region Coaching Staff of the Year.
