    Deadline Approaching for Coker’s $2,000 Scholarship to NCAA Division II Athletics Program Professionals Seeking a Master’s Degree

    The June 1 deadline is quickly approaching for Coker’s $2,000 DII scholarship. The scholarship is available for professionals currently employed at any NCAA Division II athletics program who are interested in pursuing their Master of Science in College Athletic Administration (MSCAA). This opportunity is open to staff members in any area of DII athletics—from coaching to sports information to compliance—who enroll in Coker’s MSCAA program.

     Coker’s 100% online MSCAA degree offers flexible, compressed course delivery so students can finish in as few as 15 months. Graduates of Coker’s M.S. in College Athletic Administration have gone on to work in a variety of roles throughout professional and collegiate sports, including Athletic Director, Director of Athletic Communications & Media Relations, Associate Director for Development for Athletics, Head Coach, Compliance Coordinator, Major League Baseball Scout, Facility Manager, Collegiate Athletic Recruiter, Academic Coordinator for Student-Athletes, and Conference Assistant Commissioner.Stacey Corry LaDew (‘15), director of athletic communications and media relations for The College at Brockport, SUNY (Brockport, N.Y.), says, “Since completing the program at Coker, I have been able to move on and up in the field, and without the degree I am sure it would not have been possible.”
