HARTSVILLE, SC (February 24, 2022) -- As part of Coker University's Adventure Education Activities Study Away course, several Coker students recently were in Florida to experience encounters with manatees.
Coker's Suzanne Parker, professor of physical education and sports studies, has been taking groups of Coker students to Florida for nearly a decade to experience manatees in the wild.
One of the students who recently experienced the trip stated in a reflection that this was "a once in a lifetime opportunity."
